Shimmy Shimmy Ya

Wow, I have certainly been under a rock or was experiencing some intense selective-hearing in 2005.

Just the other day, I discovered the El Michels Affair for the first time. Our friend Nico brought it over with some quartz crystals in exchange for a Betty Davis CD I had burned. What a listening pleasure! It was triumphant and epic. It made me feel like a "grown-up" while glorifying my past tastes in music when the aggressive, raw nature of Wu-tang really enthused me.

The musicians in El Michels Affair turned Wu-tang into something I could share with anyone. Their style is described as "cinematic" by Truth and Soul records with good reason. I want to pop it in my iPod and parade around Sedona on my bike, imagining how my plot will twist later on tonight.
